Announcement of a Collaboration Between INMQ and MISA Group: Experts Network – Mining Control Rooms

MISA Group is pleased to announce a collaboration with the Institut national des mines du Québec (INMQ) to advance Quebec’s mining control rooms through its brand-new Experts Network.

This initiative will provide mining operators with a dedicated community focused on innovation and process optimization, creating a unique space for collaboration in the mining industry.

The Mining Control Room Experts Network

The Control Room Experts Network aims to bring together experts in management, monitoring, and optimization of mining operations to promote best practices in integrating control technologies within the industry. This network is a valuable resource for mining operators, offering practical solutions and collaborative opportunities to drive innovation and improve processes. It also helps identify the skill profiles required for supervising and operating a control room. The first Expert Network – Mining Control Rooms session will take place on February 18.

What the Mining Control Room Network Offers

Experts of the Mining Control Room Network will benefit from several key services that promote excellence in the mining sector:

  1. Best Practices
    MISA Group’s Best Practices service focuses on identifying and sharing optimal practices in the mining industry. This service offers ongoing optimization strategies based on the expertise of industry professionals, contributing to the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of mining operations.
  2. MINEMAP
    MINEMAP is a unique mining operations process mapping service developed by Groupe MISA over the past decade. It includes 330 process maps, covering everything from exploration to environmental management, providing a comprehensive view of best practices for optimizing operations.
  3. Skill Profiles
    The network provides insights into the skill profiles required to operate and supervise a control room effectively.

Enhanced Collaboration with the Institut national des mines (INMQ): Customized Training for Operators

Thanks to this collaboration with INMQ, each network will benefit from 20- to 30-minute information sessions twice a year on key topics related to control room supervision. These sessions are designed to equip operators with the skills needed to tackle tomorrow’s challenges.
