MISA is an organization with its head office in Rouyn-Noranda, working to stimulate innovation in the Quebec mining field. MISA collaborates with all the players in the Quebec mineral area, including mining societies, mining services and products businesses, research centres and different ministries and governments. MISA orchestrate a portfolio of innovating projects an collaborative projects.

To work on a commercial basis, to the advancement in innovating services and equipments, to ensure sustainability, to maximize the benefits and the positive impact of the Quebec mineral field.

MISA offers assistance in innovation management to enterprises who bring innovating projects meant for the mining industry, through three services : project activation, the consultation of experts and the innovating project piloting.

MISA also achieves collaborative projects with research partners and mining societies to take up the challenges in the mining industry.

Furthermore, MISA coordinates a network of experts promoting wealthy exchanges between mining operators and the monitoring of innovative emerging solutions.

The network of experts regroups mining operators in one of six area of competences:

  • Rock excavation;
  • Mineral treatment;
  • Digital;
  • Continuous improvement;
  • Mining environment.
