Montreal, May 9, 2025 – MISA Group returns from CIM Connect with great pride, having played an active role in this internationally recognized event that brings together the leaders of Canada’s mining industry. This year’s edition clearly demonstrated the tangible impact of the Vortex Journey, MISA Group’s technology innovation accelerator launched in 2023 in collaboration with key partners.
“We’re incredibly proud to see the concrete outcomes achieved by the companies supported through the Vortex Journey in recent years. Our service offer is now well-established, and we’re ready to support customized projects. There’s a real sense of momentum for the innovative initiatives ahead!” — Alain Beauséjour, Executive Director, MISA Group
Several companies that have taken part in the Vortex Program were present at the Quebec Pavilion coordinated by 48e Nord International, including:
G4 R&D, Neuromines Connex, Hyperflo, Métal Marquis, Arlyx, Technosub, ARA Robotique, Norda Stelo, Lichens Innovation, KPI Mining Solutions, and Ambra Solutions. Their strong presence is a testament to the entrepreneurial energy and collective efforts that have taken shape over the past two years.
“The Vortex Journey is an essential lever for innovative SMEs like ours. It’s a structured, hands-on program that helps us move from concept to market. MISA Group has built a powerful engine of transformation within Quebec’s mining innovation ecosystem.” — Michael Simard, Founder, ARLYX Technologies Inc.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to our financial partners — the Ministère des Ressources naturelles et des Forêts (MRNF) and the Ministère de l’Économie, de l’Innovation et de l’Énergie (MEIE) — without whom the development and success of the Vortex Program would not have been possible.
“The Vortex Journey was a transformative experience for us. It helped us structure our project, validate our vision within the industry, and build valuable connections with experts. For an SME like ours, it’s a critical tool that provides access to concrete resources that move innovation forward.”
— Patrick Perreault, President & CEO, Métal Marquis
In addition to the conference, MISA Group took the opportunity to build new relationships with partners across Canada and to explore collaborative opportunities related to its Decarbonization Mission – Alliance. These meaningful discussions laid the groundwork for promising projects in sustainable innovation.
A heartfelt thank you to 48e Nord International for their outstanding organization of the Quebec delegation and the high calibre of their programming. Their remarkable work created an ideal context for Quebec companies to connect strategically and showcase their expertise to international markets.
