Francis Bérubé is the Director of Strategic Communications and Public Affairs for the Québec Mining Association (AMQ).

Mr. Bérubé holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from the Université de Montréal, a graduate diploma in public affairs and interest representation from Université Laval, and a master’s degree specializing in public and political communication from Sciences Po Bordeaux.

From 2011 to 2014, he served as Director of Communications and Public Affairs at the Québec Business Council on the Environment (CETEQ). In 2015, he joined the office of the Member of the National Assembly for Abitibi-Est and Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources as a political attaché. He also held the position of Director of the Abitibi-Témiscamingue Prefects’ Conference (CPAT).

Before joining the AMQ, Mr. Bérubé was the Director of Provincial Affairs for Québec at the Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB). In this role, he was responsible for analyzing, commenting on, and influencing public policies affecting SMEs in Québec.

Since 2022, Mr. Bérubé has also been a lecturer in the master’s program in regional and territorial development at the Université du Québec à Rimouski (UQAR).
