Ms. Gauthier-Hétu holds a master’s degree in environment and a master’s degree in biology (international ecology) from the Université de Sherbrooke. She currently holds the position of Environment and Sustainable Development Director for GCM Consultants.

Mrs. Gauthier-Hétu has more than 15 years of experience in the environmental field, particularly in the mining sector, including 10 years in consulting (engineering consulting) and 5 years in industry. Over the years, she has coordinated numerous environmental studies, sampling campaigns, authorization requests to various levels of government, flora and fauna inventories, wetlands delimitation, greenhouse gas assessments, atmospheric modeling studies, etc., mainly in the mining and industrial context. She has a good knowledge of environmental legislation and has a good understanding of the issues facing mining projects at the various stages of their development (exploration, construction, operation and closure). Her job is to accompany her clients in achieving their objectives and to support them in applying best practices, continuous improvement and innovation.
