This ambitious project positions Quebec’s mining industry as a leader in the energy transition, with a clear objective of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. Facing the dual pressures of supplying essential metals for the energy transition and significantly reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, Canada’s mining industry must reimagine its practices. This project provides a concrete roadmap for the sector, integrating sustainable energy management and decarbonization technologies.
